From classic hosting to a cloud.
For most of its life RareCloud sold classic services: virtual servers in datacenters across the US, Europe and Asia, cPanel web hosting and proxies. That business still runs, in 11 locations, and it is still a large part of what we do.
Infrastructure today is deployed in seconds, scaled on demand, and managed as much by code and AI agents as by people. So we rebuilt RareCloud around that: an OpenStack cloud in Bucharest that our own team operates, a new console, and one public API under all of it. Cloud VMs are billed by the hour, Kubernetes is managed for you, and the same API that powers the console is open to your scripts, the CLI, Terraform and AI agents.
We are not finished. New services reach the API first and then every client that uses it, and the classic side keeps getting attention too. If you want to know what we are working on, ask us: a person will answer.
What we run, and where.
The cloud runs in Bucharest. Classic VPS are sold in the other 11 datacenters. Object storage regions are separate from both, and you pick one per bucket.
Cloud in Bucharest
Cloud VMs, managed Kubernetes, block storage volumes and load balancers on an OpenStack platform our team operates, in two M247 Tier III buildings. Billed by the hour, and a resource never costs more in a month than its monthly price.
Object storage in 16 regions
S3-compatible buckets with a flat monthly price and a terabyte included. You choose the region per bucket: 16 of them, 4 in the EU.
Classic VPS in 11 locations
KVM Linux and Windows servers with NVMe storage in the US, Europe and Asia, paid monthly or for a longer cycle, plus n8n and OpenClaw servers that come pre-installed.
Web hosting and domains
cPanel hosting on NVMe with free SSL and daily backups, plus domain registration and transfers from the same console.
Proxies
Static residential IPs in the US, rotating residential traffic by the gigabyte, and 4G mobile proxies on real SIM cards, all provisioned from the console.
One account for all of it
Every service above lives in one console, on one balance, with one set of invoices. Credit you add pays for whatever you run.
One API under everything.
The console, the CLI, the Terraform provider and the MCP server are all clients of the same public API. The CLI, the provider and the MCP server are open source on GitHub.

A public REST API
The console is a client of the same API you get. An OpenAPI spec and an llms.txt describe every endpoint.
CLI
The rarecloud command for servers, volumes, clusters, networks and billing from your terminal.
Terraform provider
Declare servers, volumes, clusters and load balancers as code and let Terraform keep them in shape.
MCP server
Connect Claude, Cursor or any MCP client. Tools that spend money or delete something wait for an explicit confirm.
Scoped API tokens
Each script or agent gets its own token, with the areas it can read or change, an expiry date and a rate limit.
How we work.
Prices on the page
The price you see before you deploy is the price the invoice uses. Cloud usage is billed monthly after it happens, and your credit and bonus pay first.
The API comes first
A new service lands in the API and its spec before any button does. The console, CLI, Terraform provider and MCP server all follow the same contract.
Engineers on the tickets
Support runs 24/7 and engineers answer the tickets, so the person replying can look at your server and fix the problem.
Built for 99.9% uptime
Every server is built for 99.9% uptime, and our terms set out the refund if we fall below it.
Nothing to lock you in
Standard Linux images, upstream Kubernetes with kubectl, an S3-compatible API, Terraform and a public OpenAPI spec. Your scripts work elsewhere too.
Room for partners
Agencies, resellers and teams with large or unusual projects can talk to us about a price that fits the volume.
