What uptime can I expect?
Cloud services are built for 99.9% uptime, the figure backed by our Terms of Service. Status and incidents are communicated openly; if something breaks, you talk to an engineer, not a chatbot.
How does hourly billing with a monthly cap work?
Every cloud server is billed per hour from your credit balance. The total for a calendar month is automatically capped at the plan's monthly price, so a server that runs 24/7 costs exactly the monthly price, and a server you delete after a weekend costs only the hours it ran. You never pay more than the cap.
What do I need to deploy a server?
Credit in your account (top up by card or crypto), then pick a plan, an OS image and an SSH key or root password in the console. The server is typically ACTIVE with a public IP in less than a minute.
What operating systems are available?
Current Linux images including Ubuntu and Debian, with more added regularly. The image list in the console deploy wizard is always the live one.
Is traffic included?
Yes, generous traffic is included under a fair-use policy. We don't do surprise egress bills; if your usage pattern ever becomes a problem, we talk to you first.
Where are the servers hosted, and who owns the data?
In our Bucharest region in Europe, on hardware and an OpenStack platform that we operate ourselves, with more regions to follow. Your data stays in the EU, under EU jurisdiction, and you get real EU VAT invoices.
Can I automate everything?
Yes. The dashboard is just one client of our public REST API, deploy, power, resize, volumes and billing are all available with scoped API tokens, the rarecloud CLI and our Terraform provider. There's also an MCP server so AI assistants like Claude can manage your infrastructure safely.
What's the difference between Cloud VM and the classic KVM VPS?
Cloud VM runs on our OpenStack platform with hourly billing, resize and attachable volumes, ideal for elastic and short-lived workloads. Classic KVM VPS plans are fixed monthly/annual subscriptions, often cheaper for steady long-running servers. Both live in the same console.
Can I add more storage without resizing?
Yes, attach block volumes at €0.05/GB/month, resizable and movable between your servers.
